where this work
comes from
In September 2025, we worked with the Nomanawa family of the Noke Koi tribe in the Amazon rainforest as part of an ongoing tech-for-good initiative focused on digital safety, awareness, and balanced technology use. As technology becomes more present in their community, the work centers on helping people understand both the benefits and risks of technology while maintaining intention, balance, and cultural integrity.
In environments where technology is new, its impact is immediate and visible. Those experiences reinforced something we already believed: technology is powerful, and how we introduce and use it matters.
Whether in a remote village or a modern workplace, the questions are the same:
- How do we use technology without losing ourselves?
- How do we protect people, not just systems?
- How do we create balance alongside progress?
This perspective shapes how we approach IndieWELL today.
